Dawn Ellmore Employment’s latest salary research for the whole of the UK Intellectual Property (IP) profession has been released and despite the difficulties the World has faced over the past couple of years, the IP profession remains particularly strong.
Our research shows that salaries have continued to rise compared to last years’ figures across the majority of all positions to include patent and trade mark attorneys, IP solicitors, patent and trade mark support staff, IP managers, IP analysts and business support staff. This has not come as a surprise given the rising UK inflation rate and also because firms remain busier than ever. This causes a drive on recruitment, which in turn affects companies to offer attractive salaries in order to try and entice new employees.
Flexible working has also now very much become a key requirement for candidates when considering a move and being office-based full time wasn’t as necessary as we had once thought. It is pleasing to see that firms have adapted quickly to offer hybrid remote working, with some firms even offering the flexibility to work from home full time. A positive aspect from this is that candidates have been able to benefit by not paying as much in travel costs, whilst also being able to have more of a work-life balance.
Dawn Ellmore Employment’s research has shown that salaries have remained buoyant over the past year and this looks to continue in the near future.
