Charities
We are pleased to be continuing our support for two very worthy charities – the NSPCC and the Guide Dogs Association.
The NSPCC is the UK’s leading children’s charity fighting to end child abuse. The charity helps children who have been abused to rebuild their lives, protect those at risk, and find the best ways of preventing abuse from ever happening. Their work covers many areas to help protect some of the most vulnerable members of society in the modern age, from online safety to mental health, emotional abuse and safeguarding in schools, and the organisation also runs the successful Childline counselling service.
The aim of the Guide Dogs Association is to provide people with sight loss with the support they need to be able to move around safely and confidently, to get out of their homes and be able to live life the way they choose. Whilst the charity is best known for achieving this through its world-famous guide dogs, but their work now encompasses so much more. In recent years, the work has been extended to other areas to help people with sight loss tackle obstacles they face on a daily basis.
