Patent Statistics
Although the patent recipient list is always gaining new patents, 2015 showed the fall of numbers for the first time since 2007. The high number was down by 1% compared to 2014 according to a study by IFI Claims Patent Services.
Jurgen Klopp – ‘The Normal One’ Trade Mark
When Liverpool’s new manager Jurgen Klopp referred to himself as the ‘normal one’ nobody batted an eyelid, however it has emerged that this nickname has stuck, with Liverpool now trying to apply to trade mark this catchphrase.

Apple’s Intellectual Property
A patent filled in August last year by the giant hi-tech company Apple was released today, showing their newest product, the ‘Apple Watch’ alongside its magnetic wristband, which Apple are now saying could also be a protective case.

IBM’s Intellectual Property
The number of patent recipients is always very high, however for the 23rd year running IBM have topped the list, with 7,355 patents in 2015 only.

Ericsson and Huawei
Multinational corporations Ericsson and Huawei have agreed to extend their patent deal, making it so both companies can access either ones patents globally. Ericsson also have a similar deal with Apple.
